2008 2009 GMC Envoy specifications and review
The 2008 2009 GMC Envoy comes in three versions: the SLE, SLT and the Denali. While the SLE and SLT are powered by a 4.2 liter inline 6 cylinder engine, the Denali is powered by a 5.3 liter V8 engine. All 3 versions are available with either a rear wheel or 4 wheel drive and are equipped with a 4 speed automatic transmission. The SLE has a cloth interior, windows that are powered, 17 inch tires and you can enter the SLE without keys. The SLT is equipped with a driver information center, automatic control of the climate, and both the seats and steering wheel are made of leather. The Denali is equipped with 17 inch alloy tires, pedals that can be adjusted, a Bose manufactured music system. Optional on all three versions of the envoy are a back seat DVD music player, navigation based on DVD and a satellite radio. One can choose between a rear wheel drive or an Autotrac four wheel drive.
The 2008 2009 GMC Envoy can be categorized in the Mid sized Sports Utility Vehicle category. The envoy is 191.6 inches long and 71.9 inches tall with a wheelbase measuring 113 inches. All envoys come equipped with 17 inch aluminum tires. While 5 passengers can sit comfortably in the Envoy and Denali versions, the option of a third seat in the XL allows it to seat 7. The front and rear seats of the Envoy and Denali are the same as that of the XL. The seats of the Envoy are comfortable, though people seated in the back could get more cushions. In the SLT the driver gets a seat that can be power adjusted in eight different ways. The SLE climate control knobs can be adjusted by sliding them, while in the SLT the knobs are round. In the XL passengers seated in the rear of the vehicle get their own climate control buttons.
All 2008 2009 GMC Envoys have an onboard system that allows the driver to speak on the cell without using his hands, this system called OnStar will alert the local police in case of theft of vehicle or will alert the medical and police in case the vehicle meets an accident. The vehicle has also been equipped with anti lock disc brakes on all 4 tires and has stability control.
