The 2008 2009 Cadillac Escalade is a full-sized sports utility vehicle available in only one version, powered by a 6.2 Liter V8 that is rated at 403 horsepower. It is equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission that comes with a manual shift mode. The Escalade comes in rear wheel or all wheel drive versions featuring a 40/60 split of power between the front and back, although driving on rough roads is not recommended. The vehicle can tow 7400 pounds.
The 2008 2009 Escalade is equipped with xenon headlights, a powered lift gate, a system that helps the driver park the vehicle, heated windshield washer, leather seats, power adjustable pedals. Also available with the Escalade are seats on both rows that are heated, one can start the vehicle using a remote control, and OnStar communication system manufactured by General Motors.
Available as entertainment options with the 2008 2009 Escalade is a music system manufactured by Bose that has 10 speakers, satellite radio and a dash-mounted CD player that can store 6 CDs. The 2008 2009 Cadillac Escalade is equipped with a system to maintain stability and a sensor that warns the driver if the vehicle is in any danger of rolling over, anti-lock disc brakes and curtain airbags on the side for all passengers. The buttons on the vehicles dashboard and console are easy to use. It can seat 6, 7 or 8 passengers depending on how whether one buys the vehicle with two or three rows of seats. If one chooses a vehicle with three row of seats, the second row can be folded or flipped with the touch of a button that is located on the headliner in the front.
