The 2008 2009 BMW M series is available in two body styles, a hatchback coupe or in a roadster style. The M series is powered by a 3.2 liter straight 6 engine and has a six speed manual gearbox. Till 2008 2009 all M series models had rear wheel drives, but in 2008 2009 the all wheel drive option was introduced in the M series. Now all M series cars are having the all wheel drive. The car has a new front face with bigger air inlets and a new set of exhaust outlets. The M series is equipped with 18 inch tires, xenon headlamps, among other things. In the optional premium package, one has seats which are powered and have driver memory, Bluetooth connectivity and a premium audio system.
The front seats in the 2008 2009 BMW M series have 16 way power adjustments for the driver of the car. The car is also provided with the Merino leather interior. Also available with the M series is the Drive which lets the driver select setting that he can use later. The driver is also provided with a fat M series steering wheel. Though the M's speed gauge maximum speed reads 180 mph, the computer in the car will cut the car speed off at 155 mph. the switches on the cars dashboard are easy to locate and use.
The car is provided with a brushed interior trim, but one can choose two types of wood trim. In the roadster even if one downs the roof, the trunk capacity is the same as if it was when the roof was closed at 9 cubic feet. The coupe model has a bit more trunk capacity with 12.8 cubic feet.
The passengers riding the 2008 2009 BMW M series are provided with double front impact airbags, front seat side impact airbags and seatbelts that protect the driver and passengers. In case of a crash the car has been provided with an Advanced Crash Safety management system that will open doors, switch on lights inside the car and switch off the engine and starter of the car. The car also has the BMW assist a GPS based technology that alerts local police and ambulance services in case your vehicle has met with a serious accident.
