The 2008 2009 Audi A8 flagship is a four door luxury car that can seat 5 passengers. The vehicle is available in three versions, an entry level sedan, an L version that has a stretched wheelbase and a L W12 version. The entry level sedan and L versions are powered by a 4.2 Liter V8 engine that is rated at 350 horsepower and is equipped with a six speed automatic transmission and Quattro all-wheel drive.
The entry level sedan can travel 16 miles consuming one gallon of gas on city roads and travel 23 miles consuming one gallon of gas on highways. The W12 Version is powered by the 6.0 Liter V 8 engine that has 12 cylinders and is rated at 450 horsepower. The W12 version can travel can travel 15 miles consuming one gallon of gas on city roads and travel 21 miles consuming one gallon of gas on highways.
The 2008 2009 A8 entry level version is equipped with a navigation system, front seats that are powered and can be adjusted in 16 different ways, HID headlights and a Bose music system which has a CD player located in the dashboard and 12 speakers. The 2008 2009 A8 L version is equipped with a navigation system that is DVD based which has a 7 inch screen and can be activated using voice, anti lock brakes, a radio that can get both AM/FM channels, Bose music system which has a CD system that can store 6 CD at a time, a MP3 player and a satellite radio manufactured by Sirius.
The 2008 2009 A8 W12 version is equipped with the ability to start the car without keys, door closers that are powered, front seats equipped with vents, seats that have heaters and a steering wheel made of wood. Optional on all versions is a 1000 watt music system manufactured by Bang and Olufsen, cruise control, a fridge and a sunroof. Available in an optional Sports package, is a suspension that is sports tuned and 20 inch tires.
The 2008 2009 Audi A8 is a beautiful car to look at. Its front is shaped low and it has a powerful back. Due to a long wheelbase there is plenty of room in its back for two long adults to stretch their legs, but the long length is a problem if one is trying to park the vehicle in small spaces. Its doors open wide so there's no problem for the passengers while getting in or out of the car. With the cruise control feature models the driver can keep the car at a safe distance from the car in front of him. The car is easy to drive and responds easily to the drivers command to accelerate. The interior of the car have been made of excellent material.
